Melinda’s practice emphasizes estate planning and administration, including:

  • Developing plans to reduce federal estate taxes and Oregon inheritance taxes.
  • Designing a variety of wills and trusts to provide for spouses, children, and others after death.
  • Drafting revocable living trusts to avoid probate and provide for asset management in the event of incapacity.
  • Designing trusts to provide for future educational needs of children.
  • Counseling clients regarding charitable gifting.
  • Drafting irrevocable trusts to remove life insurance benefits from the taxable estate.

Personal:
Melinda and her husband, Matthew, reside in Salem with their daughters, Sarah and Anna. Melinda is active in her local church, Salem Alliance Church, and enjoys quilting, swimming, tennis and the beach.
