For a number of years, I have been “approaching an appropriate retirement age” and have now decided the time has come to retire from the practice of law and close the Churchill Leonard law firm. It has been my distinct privilege to work with you as your lawyer, and I thank you for your trust in me and this firm over the years.
I permanently closed the firm on Friday, December 29, 2023, and my Oregon State Bar membership status is now “retired lawyer.” If you are a client of the Churchill Leonard law firm, I recommend that you consider connecting with a new law firm now, even if you do not currently have any legal matters.
If you do not currently have counsel, I recommend you contact Kevin L. Mannix. His firm may be able to represent you, and you can reach them using the contact information provided on this page. I have had the opportunity to become better acquainted with Kevin Mannix and his staff of lawyers of late, and I have been very impressed with the collaborative nature of his group and their care for their clients. I can also recommend Jill F. Foster and Andrew W. Sprauer, both excellent attorneys and former members of the Churchill Leonard law firm. Their contact information is also listed on this page.
If your matter was an estate planning matter and the firm kept the originals of your estate planning documents (i.e., wills, trusts, powers of attorney), I will continue to store those documents. As to other matters, I will continue to store closed files for 10 years from the date the matter was closed.
You or your new attorney can reach me at the following phone number and my home address:
David H. Leonard
2325 Egan Road NE
Silverton, Oregon 97381
Thank you for allowing Churchill Leonard to represent you. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
